Requirements for Cleaning, Inspection and Insulating Backing Plate of Bearing Housing of Large Motors
Author:
Large motor bearings are packed and transported separately. After unpacking, the upper and lower tiles are taken out and marked with lifting ring screws and cleaned with kerosene. Dry with dry cloth and check whether all grooves are clean, whether there is residual sand from casting, the tungsten gold layer is not well combined with the tile body, and the marked channels and cracks have sand holes and other impurities, etc.). If it cannot be repaired, it is necessary to re-hang tungsten gold.

1. Cleaning and inspection of bearing bush
2. Cleaning and inspection of bearing seat
Before installing the bearing seat, it should also be thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Scrape the dirt off the inner cavity of the bearing seat with a scraper, wipe the dirt with a cloth dipped in gasoline or solvent, and check whether there are cracks and sand holes to prevent oil leakage during operation. The joint surface of the bearing cover and the bearing seat, and the joint surface of the bearing seat and the bearing oil retaining ring shall be scraped and matched, and checked with a feeler gauge. The clearance shall not be greater than 0.03mm. The surface of the base plate on which the bearing seat is placed shall also be cleaned and free of bumps, rust and burrs. The screws for fastening the bearing seat and the thread of the seat plate shall be carefully checked, and the screws shall be tightened to check whether they are too tight or buckled.
3. Bearing insulation structure
An insulating backing plate or metal gasket must be placed between the bearing and the base plate. The metal gasket is used to adjust the horizontal position of the seat. To adjust the relative position of the motor and another connected motor or machine. The metal gasket is made of 0.08~3mm sheet metal. The insulating base plate is made of cloth laminate or glass fiber laminate. The purpose of placing the insulating backing plate is mainly to prevent the harm of shaft current. The insulating backing plate shall be 5~10mm wider than each side of the bearing seat, and the thickness shall be 3~10mm. In addition to placing an insulating backing plate between the bearing and the base plate, the screws and stabilizing nails shall also be insulated. The insulating gasket is made of glass fiber cloth board with a thickness of 2~5mm, and its outer diameter is 4~5mm larger than that of the iron gasket. The oil pipe connecting plate insulation pad connected with the bearing seat can be made of rubber plate with a thickness of 1~2mm. The insulation resistance to the ground shall be checked after the installation of the insulated bearing seat, measured with a 500V megohmmeter, and its resistance value shall not be less than 1 megohm.
